Wild Treasure
03:57
|
|||
I feel you like a promise,
I feel you like a tide in the night.
You’re on my tongue, like olives,
our eyes are full moon bright.
Wild treasure in the air,
a changing season blows through our hair.
All my years held glimpses,
the knowing of a dreaming child.
I’m waking up enchanted,
stepping into the wild.
Sudden feeling,
tender waiting.
Growing feeling,
silent knowing.
Let go, let go,
love will be.
Come close,
love flowing.
Wild treasure in the air,
a changing season blows through our hair.

The Rain Fell
03:33
|
|||
You left in the morning
and I felt content.
I heard the day calling
and asked what this meant,
as raindrops were falling
through each moment spent
in music of dreaming,
feeling words sent
through the air,
through the earth,
through a world
of death and birth.
The rain fell
and I thought about sound and silence.
I felt like I’d caught myself
sitting on the fence,
between a life I’d bought
and a life I dispense,
so I read what was taught
but it made no sense
in the air,
in the earth,
in a world
of death and birth.
The rain fell
and I felt love.

Memories of Romance
04:12
|
|||
For a few days you came away,
in my house together we lay,
listening to all that we had to say,
wondering what we would create.
Every night we stayed awake,
moving closer as it got late,
giving ourselves to our fate,
wondering if our love would take shape.
Easy feet on the sand,
easy dreams, hand in hand,
simplicity as we walk the land,
memories of romance.
Woman and a man,
peaceful we stand,
oh the feeling when we dance,
memories of romance.
I remember when you came to stay,
we walked along where the water swayed
and by the end of the day,
all the world had fallen in place.
Running my fingers around your face,
we heard the tide steal away,
leaving its kisses where footprints were made,
as we were inside, drifting away.

Life for Living
04:04
|
|||
All these things I learned
but I never took the test.
All the times I yearned
but I never joined the rest.
All these words I had
but I never wrote the book.
All the paths I found
but I never set foot.
Life’s for living,
living from the heart.
Life’s for giving,
I’ll play my part.
All the days I had
when I felt alive,
I was so glad
for the people at my side.
I feel gratitude
for my life,
It’s up to me to choose
to see the light.
Life’s for living,
living from the heart.
Life’s for giving,
I’ll play my part.

Birds of the Shire
02:27
|
|||
Buzzard is the bird that flies above my home,
her feather’s in my hair ‘cause she’s the one I know.
She glides up where the warm air lifts,
I’m down here in the morning mist.
Dove is the bird that sits on my window,
when she flies the sky has a white glow.
Her eyes glisten like a kiss,
from a world that knows my wish.
Soaring through the sky with wings spread
above the green ground where we tread.
Perching in the trees overhead,
watching the land with eyes intense.
Robin is the bird that likes to hop around
when I’m digging over the fresh ground,
and when my back is turned,
she’ll dive in and eat all the worms.
Tawny owl comes out at night,
when my house is filling with moonlight.
Her sound is sharp and strange,
a lonely bird calling her mate.
Soaring through the sky with wings spread
above the green ground where we tread.
Perching in the trees overhead,
watching the land with eyes intense.
